Every so often, Lanora Ronée Photography hosts something the boudoir community affectionately dubbed Boudiethons, or more commonly known as Boudoir Marathons. Many aren't familiar with the concept, but it's a great way for someone to experience a boudoir session at a much lower cost than usual sessions. LRP doesn't host them often, but when I do, they're such a fun - and exhausting - time!
Our last Boudiethon took place in March 2019 at an adorable little AirBNB location up in Valley Center, CA. The location is out in the boonies, and I'm preeeetttty sure some of my clients were terrified I was driving them out to murder them! ;) BUT, everyone made it and absolutely adored our location. Sadly, I didn't snap any photos of the cute lavender farm, but I did manage to snag a couple behind the scenes shots of the decor.
LRP's Spring Boudiethon included either a Little Black Book or Crystal Heirloom Keepsake Box with prints, some retro Polaroid shots, snacks, professional hair and makeup, swag bags, and every single client got to take home a piece of lingerie that was specially purchased for them. When each lady arrived, they spent an hour with one of my two amazing MUAHs, Kylie Brockavich or Yesenia Calas, who made sure to deliver perfect hair and makeup. Then, my amazing assistant Keisha assisted with picking out lingerie before they spent 45 minutes during their session with me!
Not only did we have access to the adorable upstairs loft, complete with a wood-burning stove and all the plants, but there's this AHMAZINGGGG outdoors wooden shower where some of my beauties chose to end their session! I even convinced one to let me bring out some champagne ;).
One client in particular, gave me the chance to attempt my first ever maternity boudoir. She was 22 weeks pregnant with her surrobaby (talk about an AMAZING woman), and trusted me fully. I won't lie - I was pretty nervous to attempt maternity boudoir, but I've gotta say, I'm in LOVEEEE! Check out a few of her photos below.
The entire day allowed me the opportunity to meet such a variety of women, and I have absolutely no doubt I'm blessed to do this. Some clients traveled hours to attend this event, while others are local to San Diego. Regardless, each had the chance to get wined, dined, and completely spoiled during their session, and the look of excitement and happiness on each of their faces when leaving made me so happy to see. Keep scrolling to check out a few more shots from various sessions from the beauties who gave a full model release.
I say it frequently, but don't think I say it enough - I'm so blessed to have the opportunity to meet these women from all walks of life and to get the chance to empower them through photography. Boudoir is, hands down, the most phenomenal niche in the photography world, and I don't think I'll EVER get tired of it.
