Let’s talk about the photos I usually cannot post on social media. 😂 Because boudoir can absolutely be pretty lingerie, soft sheets, gorgeous light and a strategically placed hand.
But it can also get a whole lot hotter than that. And when a client tells me they want spicy boudoir… especially with their significant other?! Ohhhh, now we’re talking.
What Does “Spicy Boudoir” Actually Mean?
Honestly? Whatever spicy means to you. There isn’t some official checklist where we hit a certain amount of skin and suddenly your session graduates into spicy territory. For one person, spicy might mean implied nude photographs where everything is technically covered but BARELY.
For someone else, it’s topless images, wet sets, sheets, body details, grabbing, restraints, shower scenes, or photos that feel a hell of a lot more intimate than anything they would ever post publicly. And for couples? Wellllll.
Things can escalate. 😂 The important part is that you are never expected to match somebody else’s level. Your session can stop exactly where you want it to stop. Or we can keep turning the dial up a notch.
Couples Boudoir Can Get Even Hotter
Couples sessions add an entirely different layer because now we’re not just photographing one person looking sexy. We’re photographing chemistry. Hands. Bodies. Eye contact. Tension. The way one person pulls the other closer. And yes, depending on what both people are comfortable with, couples boudoir can get extremely spicy.
That is exactly why I loved the session featured in this post. They gave me room to create images that felt genuinely intimate instead of trying to make everything safe enough for Facebook.
Some are romantic. Some are sexy. And some are very firmly in the category of: Yeahhhh, social media is not getting that one.

What If You’re Nervous to Ask for Something Spicier?
You would not be the first person to awkwardly start a sentence with: “So… I have an idea but I don’t know if it’s weird.” 😂 Tell me anyway. Seriously. One of the biggest reasons people book boudoir is because they want somewhere they can explore a side of themselves they normally keep private.
Maybe you want to feel more sexual. Or perhaps you already ARE very sexual and want photographs that actually reflect that. Hell, what if you have a kinkier side nobody sees and your relationship has a dynamic you want incorporated?
None of those are weird reasons to book.
Privacy Matters Even More With Spicy Boudoir
One thing I take extremely seriously with intimate boudoir photography is consent. Just because we create an image does not mean it automatically belongs on my Instagram, website or Facebook group. Especially when we start creating more explicit work.
There are images clients happily let me share, like the ones featured in this blog. There are images they allow me to show only in certain places. And there are images that will never leave their private gallery. That is completely okay. You get to decide what parts of your session stay yours.
