So I hear you’ve been considering booking a boudoir experience, but you aren’t sure what to expect during your session. While the idea of posing in lingerie or revealing clothing can be intimidating, understanding our process a bit more and what happens behind the scenes can absolutely help ease your nerves and make the experience more enjoyable. Here’s what to expect during your boudoir session with LRP:
Initial Consultation
Even before you book in for your boudoir session, we’re going to start off with an initial consultation. This can happen via phone or in person at a nearby coffee shop. During our phone consult, we’ll go over every single aspect of your session. You’ll get the chance to get to know me a bit, and decide if I’m the right fit for you! I walk you through the entire process, and when you decide you’re ready to lock in? We get that done too.
The In-Between: Booking & Session Day
So you’ve locked in for your session date. Now what? We continue to stay in constant communication, sending over a wide variety of emails that will help you to prep for your big day. We’ll chat about your vision, help you with shopping for lingerie, and can even schedule a Pre-Session Fitting at our studio so you can come in and browse our lingerie boutique or our client closet to get a feel for what you’ll want to wear.
Hair and Makeup
On the day of your session, you’ll start with hair and makeup with our absolutely phenomenal in-house H&MH Artist. She is a dream, and helps to bring your vision to life. This is a chance to relax and pamper yourself before the shoot. Professional hair and makeup can help you look and feel your best, and I have no doubt you’ll realize you’re in good hands with us.
Outfit Selection
After hair and makeup, we’ll choose your outfits for the shoot. We’ll go through the client closet pieces I’ve pulled for you to try, you can browse our lingerie boutique (seen below) and I’ll start to check out the outfits in your bags! You’ll try everything on, and we’ll finalize our outfit choices.
Posing and Direction
Once you’re ready to start the shoot, the real fun begins. I handle EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of posing, including showing you how to do all the crazy poses before we really start. Once I’ve shown you what to do, I’ll then help you to pose your hands, feet, and even your face! I control it all, so that you don’t have to worry. The Reveal: Culling, Editing and Retouching
After our session, the next step is booking our Reveal session. During our reveal session, you’ll get the chance to see a culled down gallery of your very best photos. These will be lightly color corrected, so that you’re able to choose the absolute best photos for your albums + keepsakes! Once we’ve finalized, I get to work on editing your album images so I can place the order. You’ll receive proofs of your album so that you can sign off on it, and then I’ll finish editing the rest of your gallery! Don’t worry about anything in terms of editing either – I handle it all, from bruise + acne removal, to adjusting the lingerie if it isn’t fitting just right. I’ve got it ALL handled for you.
Delivery of Photos
Once your photos are ready, you’ll not only receive a private online gallery, but we’ll set up a time for you to pick up your keepsakes! We can do this at the studio, or we can even meet at a local coffee shop. You’ll sign your “I Received My Keepsakes” form, and then you’re off to admire the shit outta yourself all over again.
